The catfishing has held steady over the past few weeks. The fish have started to move shallow some days and to the deeper middle sections of the river with faster current. This is due to the cooler nights and less heating hours during the day. Sit times are a bit longer, 25-35 minutes per spot to allow the fish to find the bait. The fall feed should be getting into high gear over the next week or two.

Bait has been frozen suckers and frogs. All other baits just don't seem to have the same effectiveness.

Here are a couple special fish from the past week. The 1st is a nearly 27 pounder we pulled out 8-24-17.

The second is a tagged cat from Canada that was tagged at Lockport July 3, 2014. Caught in Grand Forks at Catfish League 7-26-17, caught again by my client 8-9-17 and by another client 8-25-17.
