After fishing out of a couple of them this month I gotta get me one. Was lookin at a ranger skeeter or nitro I live in Mandan so still plan on doing a lot of river fishing but I'd like something that I can handle sak with when the river gets slow in these summer months. Just kinda wondering what everyone's opinions are as far as brand motor size etc.

What ever brand U chose. Go at least 18 foot with a 150. Bigger if your budget and storage works for Ya. I switched to fiberglass 20 some years ago. Never looked back! This old fart also wants a full windshield.

I got a 20 ft Larson and I really like it especially for the price compared to some others

I just purchased a 386 Stratos (hold over) with a 150 4 Stroke Mercury to replace a Lund Tyee. Could not see my way to spending the $$ for the Ranger or Skeeter. Little smaller than theTyee, but like the way the glass boat rides on the water. Had it out on the river today seems to be a great river boat.

I run a skeeter and if you are interested I can get you in touch with Skeeter Boat Center which in my opinion is the best dealership you will ever find. I'm currently running a wx2060 and if you'd like to spend a day in it let me know and we can arrange something on Sak.

I run a Nitro Zv21. Really nice boat, but they all make nice fiberglass boats these days. The ZV18's are nice as well, like someone said get what you can store and shop all the options and never look back. The 21 is a big boat for the river my old 18' foot Skeeter was an awesome boat and a bit easier on the river but the 21 is great for the lake.

Can't go wrong with any of the glass boats out there. Buy a used one and save a bunch. 19-20 ft is nice. I'm a Yamaha fan. Walleye central classifieds is your best bet.

I don't know if it's true or not... but I heard a rumor that the tracker boats haul can go soft on you pretty fast from smacking waves. Anyone have info on that ?

Go to mild 2 wild in Mandan and check out the warriors... I have a ranger reata and will be riding a warrior soon... also be sure to ask the dealership to take it out and test drive it (go on a windy day)

I owned a 16 ft Yar for 20 years. Sold it 3 years ago and got a 1860 Ranger with 150 Yahama. The beam is so much wider that the boat feels twice as big as the Yar :) I really like it and have had zero issues with motor or boat and it is 10 years old. If you go bigger than 18ish, then you are probably looking at a tandem axle trailer. Not sure if that matters to you. I still see boats with this setup for around 30K on walleye central.

budget allows me something a little newer than that one, id like to stay under 50. I was kinda thinking of staying in that 18.5-19ft range

I wonder if the person that parked this was in a hurry to get into a sparkly boat?
