Looks like we have a major shift in the temps/precip beginning tomorrow. So what can we expect with regards to the fishing this weekend?

Can't say for sure, but this guy is going to enjoy the cooler temps.

94 in Bismarck yesterday afternoon. 49 this morning when I came to work.

That and the river is down a tish over 3 ft.

I am going up to devils to somewhat winterize everthing but the boat. i probably wont go out --- the fishing has been ok - but i think you will see an improvement. This warm weather probably turned them on slightly.

I'm gonna head out Sat & Sun afternoon. Sure I'll have to hunt for them, but that's half the fun right! If you go out tomorrow...don't forget the rain gear!

As long as the temps stay in a slow cooling trend, I think you will see things really go gangbusters. But we all know there is a week of at least 80's left around the corner here somewhere

Usually the transition period of cooling water is really hit or miss(turnover period usually sucks). Once temps stabilize and start a slower daily decrease it usually gets good.

In addition to what Capt said, sudden changes in weather often manifest in tougher fishing for a day or two. Stable weather equals good fishing for the most part.

I think the weather change in MT was a blessing and what they needed to get the fires under control.

I've been experiencing 120 degree heat indexes for almost a month now. I would do some things not appropriate for television if it meant I could wear a sweatshirt again...

Thanks for your service 3geese! I was in Oman in 02' from August to December...when I got off the plane it was 122 degrees! Hang in there brother!

Anyone planning to hit the water this weekend? The wife and I gonna hit Audubon tomorrow, then a buddy and I heading to Sak Sunday. Fished Audubon last Saturday in the rain/wind...caught a lot of small walleye...but man was it cool! Looks like Sunday might be like that again this weekend.

Last Saturday surface temps on Audubon were 60-62. All fish caught on spinners/crawlers in 16-25 fow. Guessing when I get there tomorrow morning surface temps might still be 55...but that cool water gonna start sinking quick. Fish will probably still be fairly deep...

If you decide to go to Audubon, make sure you are going thru the channels and around the humps slowly...till you learn where those shallow spots are hiding!
