I'm curious as to what this vine is that I have all over the place. Not sure if it's native, or a noxious weed and I'm kinda leaning towards the latter.

Hmm, I've never seen any berries on it.

And it's at least as much Grrr as it is Gaaa.

But yes, it certainly does look like Guy is the winner. In looking at some online images and videos I should have my hands full trying to get rid of it.

Download the app "PlantSnap" to your phone - then you can scan the plant and it will tell you what it is - I use this when in the back country to identify things I don't know - which is a lot!

Must be what is trying to strangle the lilac bush, They are a birds paradise . Easy to kill , My wife had some growing up the yard pole and they were scooting right along but I thought it was an accident waiting to happen so I sprayed them and they are gone.

I tried those berries once, not good!

What were the results ? I bit into one just enough to draw blood and touched my tongue and spit it out. I remember thinking ishta but I don't remember what happened after that. Birds must not be affected , I'll watch now to be positive but I think they eat the berries. I might try to strangle a short row of crab apples that I was going to rip up. Easy enough to get rid of if needed and mowing seems to keep them from running across the ground. Birds like them year around, Nothing to see a cluster of 50 or so on a cold winter day catching some sun. Summer It must be cool in there. We don't have a problem with birds eating juneberries and I think that has something to do with it. A weed when it's in the wrong place but it's good habitat.

Yea , They could spread like wildfire, I wouldn't start them anywhere I couldn't contain them.

birds eat those seeds so containment is impossible in my estimation

probably doesn’t matter with one plant - they’re coming regardless
