NFR in Las Vegas

Mrs johnr and I are heading to the national finals rodeo in Vegas for a few days. I am going to be bringing a large cowboy hat to sport at the events. I have never traveled with one, for those of you cowboys who have, best way to bring it along would be exactly how.
Wear it on the plane? Ship it to the hotel? Or take an extra bag?

I had a blast down there a couple years ago during that event. Took $200 bucks off a couple cocky bull riders that thought I was a soft pencil pusher. #armwrestling

Wear it!!! I only took mine off for one thing.

Having a hard time deciding which would be more fun. The NFR or the Calgary Stampede. On the bucket list to do at least one. Calgary Stampede has some different events (buckboard racing) as well as a top-notch rodeo. Should have went when I was younger. That's a lot of partying at my age.
