Guy, it's pretty normal up here...they winter together. Here is a photo from Christmas that I took;

Most I have seen together was close to 30. There is an area I like to check out during the winter, it probably covers 20ish square miles and I have counted well over 100 moose multiple times.

Pretty cool photo though!

So strange - I don’t recall seeing any moose “herd” photos or videos before. I always thought they were fairly solitary critters.

I've never seen quite that many together but 5-6 in a group isn't uncommon. Usually mostly cows with a bull or two. Not common to see that many bulls in a group. Not to mention some of those bulls are pretty decent and will only be bigger next year.

I remember back in the late 80's/90's seeing a herd of absolute bruisers together while walking sunflowers/stalks..distant memories id never dream of seeing in the same area these days.

That pic is definitely frame and copyright worthy IMHO.

I remember my grandpa having a set of moose horns hanging in the basement. They were pretty good size. Probably close to 60" with huge paddles. Wonder what ever happened to those. Shot it in Canada in the sixties.

Went for a drive yesterday afternoon/evening northeast of town, to look for some ditch chickens and seen more moose than I did birds.
