    Go to Perch/Walleye lures

The go to rod thread got me thinking...what are your favorite lures for perch or walleyes through the ice?

If I can't catch them with a buckshot and minnow head they are uncatchable.

If they are in the mood to chase, the chunk of lead with a chunk of meat will get smoked.

True freedom is not the ability to do whatever one wants or as one pleases without restraint, rather, true freedom is the ability to what one ought to do.

I start and end with jigging raps & minnow head. Didn’t always work that way. Used to avoid them.

If I am by myself Buckshot and minnow head. If I am with others and they are using that I will go to a lipless crank or either a rattle less or flutter spoon, perch talker could also come into play.

For the most part i agree and i always have a 1/8 or 1/4 oz buckshot on a rod ready to go. There are times though where something without a rattle that "flutters" like a tingler spoon, will do the trick. I am also becoming more and more fond of a #4 rippin rap, they dont always work, but when they do you may find yourself giggling like a school girl.

This past weekend i was on a body of water where i was having consistent action on my bobbers and tip-ups. Then just like someone turned off a switch they all went dead. I threw down the rippin rap and to my delight the fish started coming in pairs and crushing it. I caught probably 15 eyes in about 1.5 hours in the middle of the afternoon, my bobbers and tip ups never moved again. I don't think the buckshot would have called in near as many fish.

I have a difficult time spending 5 bucks or more for a buckshot, so I use a swedish pimple 90% of the time with a dead stick plain hook and minnow head under a bobber for the other rod. The other 10% of the time it's a grab bag of garbage I have in the tackle box just to see if it works and will catch fish.

Might give you mine. better named perch tanglers. Don’t ever get the hook stuck inside one of those beads.

Buckshots, forage spoons, slender spoons, and some crazy looking northland glow jig. Forgot what it’s called but I’ve never seen anyone else use one. All tipped with a minnow head or perch eye

Sounds like a whole new line for DM baits.

    Hooker Earings

    Stripper-Rippers

Some big 'ol pike bait called a "slimer snatcher"

Lap Dancer, pretty close to Taildancer, but different

"Covert escort" for some kind of lure with a trailer/stinger hook

Size "A" to size "DD" Jiggler lure.

I usually start out with a chubby darter when fishing walleyes, and usually a slender spoon or buckshot on the other rod if fish won't hit the darter.

When fishing for perch I usually start with a buckshot and have a tungsten jig with spikes ready if fish won't hit the spoon.

buckshot in red glowfish. ussually replace the treble hooks because northlands hooks bend on a 16" walleye. Although the last couple I bought seem to be better.

If at Winnipeg, live target or my new favorite, snooty patooty.
