Or a car for your kid...

With the ever expanding DirtyMike clan, I had to dig into my boat fund and get the wife a new SUV. I figured I'd reclaim my 2009 Subaru Legacy 2.5i as my run around car. I've since changed my mind and would like to not have something parked on the street all the time.

I'm going to pick it up from the detailer tonight and post some pictures. Currently sits at 150ish thousand miles. Replaced head gasket, rear seal, and all belts last spring. Tires are 70%. It has a viper security system but you'll need to get new remotes (horrible design for dog chews). Thule roof rack if you need to haul something.

Looks just like this one:

Bit over 20yrs ago a good friend decided he wanted a boat. So he went and bought a new boat. Had “(wife’s name), New Car” emblazoned upon the side before even bringing it home.

Does the name on the boat still fit or did he have to rename the boat?

good on you dm...a true life partner is worth sacrificing for...

quick story - i bought a new 97 heritage springer and had run it for about 5 years... it was a beautiful bike, and we lived in western nebraska at the time, so we rode a lot and in awesome country 12 months a year... it was not a good mile eater as it just wasn't set up for that - more of a bar hopper... i wanted a new electraglide classic while my bride loved the springer... we were at the scooter store in cheyenne wy, and i was drooling about the thought of buying a true road bike... she looked at it and said "why would you rather have that?" i said "so your fat ass doesn't hang over and rub the paint off the fenders of the springer anymore" (had a small passenger seat)... she looked at me and laughed hysterically... it was THE joke of the decade, and she probably told 100 people that story...

i got the bike, and kept my bride... we'll celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary this june... life is awesome when you have a good partner to enjoy it with...

In my head I was waiting for this sentence to go something like " It has a viper security system but you'll need to upgrade to a stronger system if you're going to be rolling in this puss magnet...."

This is a great car and for anyone that doesn't know DM- he is very particular about keeping his possessions in tip-top shape. I have ridden many hours to and from Minneapolis in this Subaru and it's AWD was great in any weather. Anyone who gets it won't be disappointed. Just my $0.02

Too bad it’s not an Outback. You could throw in a Croc Dundee hat and knife to sweeten the deal.

DM has fixed most everything that usually goes at that mileage, would be a good buy.
