Have never owned a 10mm in a 1911, so a Colt Delta Elite in 10mm - just for fun

I have a xdm sub compact in a 40. But dont worry about what everyone else has. Carry what fits you best and you can shoot good.

I have a colt defender .45 for cc. I won a Taurus .380 or at least the value from the BHB gun raffle. Looked it up and it seemed like a nice little gun. I'm putting the money towards a new fish finder but if I didnt allready plan on spending some coin I might have taken it. $214

In this order:

1. Gun reliably goes bang when you need it to go bang
2. You will actually carry it
3. You don’t hate shooting it
4. Who/when/how will it be carried?

Everything else is subordinate to the above. Caliber, make, model, capacity, size, price range can all wait until the first 4 points are addressed.

Yep, main thing is buy something you'll carry all the time. It does you no good sitting at home in the gun safe. IMO a 380 is a little light but it's better than nothing.

I have 2 Springfield XD subcompacts. One in 9mm and one in 40. I practice with the 9mm and carry the 40. Don't get me wrong, I practice with the 40 too but the ratio is like 80% 9mm to 20% 40. They feel the same, shoot the same, and work the same. The 9mm is just cheaper to shoot.

I would seriously look into the Sig P365. The small gun handles really well with big hands and can hold up to 12 rounds of 9mm.

I myself am looking into a Sig M17 or a Sig 320 x carry. Both are same price but the M17 comes with a rebate for 2-21 rd mags free
