I have a Outboard 1982 evinrude 2hp that is leaking from the fuel shutoff valve. Do I need to order a new one or is it an easy fix? Getting my ditch fishing boat ready.

If mine, I would back the nut off and check the rubber or packing inside the nut,or possibly a ferrule in there. Make sure the shaft going through it is smooth. Should be an easy fix as long as the fitting is not cracked somewhere.

Try and tighten the nut on the valve a bit. That might do it.
