    Black Hills Deer

Considering cashing in some SD points on a black hills whitetail hunt this fall. I'm looking for any info on what to expect (buck quality, camping situations, seeing other hunters, hunter density). PM's welcome if your into that.

    Thanks for any help.

2- enough for the WT tag. Not worth holding out for the Any Deer.

I’ve got a buddy that hunts the hills every year. He gets a cabin in Custer and hunts public land west of there. I haven’t seen him take anything huge but numbers are decent from what he says.

I don't have any personal experience there but know a guy who's shot quite a few bucks there and has never shot anything real big. Sounds like the bucks in general just don't get all that big. Yea I'm sure there are a few big ones shot and especially on private but I think if you shoot a solid 4x4, that would be a good buck.
