Shore fishing in Jamestown

I've got a couple days of training in Jamestown coming up. Thinking about grabbing some gear and trying some shore fishing. What kind of opportunities are down there

The reservoir and pipestem are both good crappie fisheries and pretty easy to just bobber fish and get bites in my limited experience. You may even run into a couple nice ones. The James River is very low right now and it's tough fishing unless you want to travel to find a low head dam that's got deep enough water. Anything beyond that and I'm pretty clueless... still learning the area.
