Devils Lake fishing - casino

Heading up to the casino for a couple days with the wife tonight for a little R&R&F. I've never stayed there and never fished around the casino area. Not looking for exact GPS coordinates, but is there good fishing spots close to the casino? Sounds like the weather could be hit or miss so don't want to go all the way across the lake and get caught in a T-storm if I don't have to. Thanks in advance. #$%^&>

I'm a flats rat but I'm gonna be fishing out of there tomorrow too. Pig roast, music and fireworks.

Im not sure where we will head yet. You can access a lot of places from there

The bridges at sunrise and sunset are always worth a try. Main Bay rock piles are starting to turn on as is the 25-30ft leadcore bite.

As said above the Highway 57 and 20 bridges are close and you can be back to the Marina within minutes if the weather takes a turn. If you have some wind and current is moving thru they will generally hold some fish throughout the day.
The bottom bouncer / spinner bite along Highway 57 should be good too. Try the 18-25 foot range with a half crawler or Berkley Gulp Killer Crawler. Anywhere from the Lost Jig area west towards Fort Totten should hold some fish.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Had a great day fishing on Tuesday. Caught about 30 total. Almost all were small, but the excitement of the day was pulling in a 26 1/2 and a 28! Caught those two almost the same spot within about 15 minutes of each other. Both were released.
