Another highly controversial thread!! On a roll!
I don't bait, never have and never will. Honestly I have no problem with people who do, when and where it is legal. How many of you do bait? How many would stop bowhunting if baiting was not legal?

I would hunt either way. But are you talking bait piles only or food plots and other sources as well? Just curious

I don't bait either. I do feed deer in my yard. Since it's impossible to keep them out my reasoning is if I feed them they will not eat so many of my wife's flowers.

I would hunt either way, but as long as it is legal to bait ... I will !! Especially in my kids early years of hunting.

I tried baiting once but the damn deer turned their noses up at my minnows. Probably should've used some Liquid Mayhem

Ive shot deer both ways.. IN my opinion its only effective on mature bucks in the rut (coming to check does) or during late season with high snow .. My only real gripe with baiting is the jackwagons sitting over the corn pile at two in the morning and then bragging about killing big bucks...

I refuse to be lambasted by a bunch of whores for feeding treats to deer.

I've dabbled. It helps to get pictures of deer. That's the only benefit I've found, firsthand.

Tough for me to bait. Most of the year I share the field with cows, and they will usually eat it up before the deer even find it. However, I would still hunt if it's illegal. Most of my deer shot with a bow have come from placing stand/blinds in ambush spots on trails or during the rut.

After I have patterned my mule deer I gather huge piles of sage brush and hide behind a pronghorn decoy. I don't think I would hunt without my sage brush bait piles.
