Not talking about bottom bouncing, but rather a 3/8 ounce sliding sinker with a 4 ft. snell & either drifting or slow with an electric trolling motor. How do you keep the nightcrawler from just dragging on the bottom?
Little shot of air to the worm? Use a colored small floater just above the worm? Some smart fishermen on here, what do you suggest?

It doesn't drag it kinda bounces up and down depends on bottom. Realistically a bottom bouncer rig does the same thing. Your moving it tugging from above

Floating jig or maybe a 3 way rig might be what you want to get the desired hight

If the bottom is clean, let it do it's thing. If the bottom is weedy or fowling rigs run a three way with a worm blower or a small floater.
