There were 62 teams. That's a little low, I think there were a little over 70 or 80 a few years ago. I think the $10,000 1st place and 100% payout is what people look at. 10K is a LOT of $$$. I heard the biggest fish was 8 lbs.

To those who want to boycott the Casino, you have every right. But remember this. The casino employee's were shafted by the protest also. Since the Casino did so poorly, they instituted a new bonus policy, and no one got a Bonus in June. That's potentially 100 HOURS (if you weren't docked) you missed out on. That's $2K at $20/h, so the employee's are/were pissed at the protesters chasing casino guests away. Where do you think the people spend their money? Bismark that's where. If the Casino shuts down (I'm not saying it will) it will hurt the economy in Bismark bigtime!! Also, with no PKC, no boat ramp.

There was actually a tourney, I never heard a thing about it and for that I am happy. My disappointment is the fact they had enough to hold the tourney but there will always be people to support it and that is there choice. I as said earlier will not give another penny to that area down south. As for the Casino closing Bismarck survived before it opened and would make it with out it. Also the native Americans that work at the casino voted and support there present leadership that let DAPL turn into the crap spiral it was. As for the amount of money the casino made before DAPL I would be very curious how much of any of that money actually makes it back in BISMAN. I guess will just have to see where the chips fall, no pun intended. dukgnfsn

DON'T SHIT WHERE YOU EAT

I have no sympathy for the casino or their employees they should have thought of the ramifications that would result from their protest.
I doubt the casino shutting down would have very little if any impact on the economy of Bismarck & Mandan since a large portion of the money spent at the casino comes from the Bismarck, Mandan area

that casino closing wouldn't ripple the water in Bismarck's economy. And this just proves there is a large segment in society that stands for nothing anymore. It's pathetic to see.

The people of Fort Yates need to take responsibility for the mess they caused before I will even begin to feel sorry for any of the employees at the Casino. I hate that My hard earned tax dollars still go there. ;:;banghead

A good start to show the region they did not support the DAPL protest is to make sure they do not vote for DAPL Dave. I can't believe he made it passed the primary. For me...I choose to not support PKC. My choice is to just head to Deadwood for more entertainment options.
Nothing against those who fished in the tourney...it's your money that is still supporting PKC.

Just curious where you think people in Yates spend all their money? If you think the casino or SR residents don't pump millions and millions into Bisman area you're a fool.

Someone called the "What's on Your Mind" talk show on KFYR yesterday and said there was a rumor that the winning team crossed the state line and were fishing out of bounds. Any truth to that?

A few tourney anglers called in and said they fished close to the winning team and they were inbounds.

The Standing Rock Sioux tribe led the peaceful protest effort against the pipeline. The tribe also led the drive to remove the offensive UND Fighting Sioux nickname. The peaceful protesters left behind millions of pounds of trash in the flood plain they occupied. I could go on and on.................. all I can say is BOYCOTT the casino!!!!!

22.68 lbs. Schumaker, Huesman, Schuck. Their big fish was 8.82 lbs. Heard rumors of trolling deep water.

I heard they were trolling cranks in the main channel deep out in front of the 4-mile, which would put them in the middle of a big part of the lake.
