Boats from Wisconsin coming to fish tourneys in ND. I'm sure those tournament guys are really careful to steam clean their zebra mussel infested boats.

There are big fish in Audubon. I am half excited to see what bags get pulled in that one.
That being said, I would have much preferred an East Sakakawea pick there. (right next door)

With a May 20th time frame the bags on Audubon could surprise some people.

Tournaments on waters that are "off the grid" a bit are usually the most fun. This is where the better anglers really shine - and I get my ass kicked.

On another note, if the walleye game is ever going to progress, these so called "TEAMS" must be eliminated. Working as a group to find fish defies the competition purpose of who he best angler is. It becomes he who is most connected, right? It's even progressed to the point where they thank their teammates on stage. When the BASS circuits strictly outlawed teammates and networking, the innovation and sponsorship progressed the sport at a crazy pace. Food for thought ... how to implement that - I haven't a clue!

Haha idk I just saw there was Wisconsin lakes in the schedule and assumed Wisconsin fisherman would come to ND to fish tourneys. If I am mistaken I am sorry.

I couldn't agree more ... and I also have no idea how to fix.

There's maybe a couple minnesota teams that do the Devils Lake event but that's probably as far as it goes.

Audubon is still going to be a little tough at that time. Yes there is nice fish in there and I believe it is only getting better. Part of tournament fishing is to put together a bag even in tough conditions. This is perfect for all of those that complain about big boats making long runs and it not being fair. I do agree competing against teams is alot more challenging.

Sweet briar as a comparison, really? C'MON Man!

I also agree. I find also find it crazy when people are thanking their "teamates" on social media and even on stage. I was fishing beside a couple of PK Casino Cup tournament boats under the bridge over the Cannonball River a few years ago. The one boat had a good fish on that ran toward the other boat. The guy in the front of the other boat pulled his net and was going to net the fish, until he realized it was a pike. Tell me they weren't "teamates". Lucky for them they didn't do what they were going to, or I would have turned them in. I fish a few tourneys a year against these same clowns, and fish them honestly.

I do agree with what has been said about teams and how the more connected people have a benefit. However, at this level... "weekend warrior", that is what the AIM is marketed toward right? I don't know if its the right place to ban any coordination or teams.

You can make that rule, and some will follow it, but some won't and it will be done just the same only it will be hush hush.

Sawyer,
There's nothing wrong with a Audubon pick. There's no doubt that tourney will take 25 to maybe even more to win. For anyone who calls that lake the lake if 12" ers doesn't know how to fisH it.

It's more so the size of Audubon and the fact that many guys use that lake as their fishing getaway that usually don't fish the big lake, but it is what it is can't wait to fish sweet Briars big brother#$%^&>
