My suppressor stamp came in unexpectedly and now I’ll be hunting with a suppressed rifle this fall. My one lingering question:

Will the first shot have a different point of impact? I know there’s a first round “pop” but I wasn’t sure if my first cold-bore shot will be any further off than normal with a can on the end.

Not That I can tell. Slightly less difference if anything. Check the difference with and without suppressor for elevation. My 308 hits three inches high without suppressor. My 6.5 Creedmoor hits one inch high without suppressor. In the event you find yourself shooting without your can.

It's pretty clear at this point that the Wetter has connections.

I'll be giving him a wide berth - and anything he asks for - in the future.

I just picked up my suppressor as well. Something I just double checked, when transporting it, you should keep a copy of Form 4 with you.

My point of impact varies with each rifle I have used it on with suppressor. My .308 is about 4 inches high at 100 yards without suppressor. My .223 is about 1.5 low without suppressor and My 6.8 SPC II is about 2 inches high without suppressor.
My first shot seems to be about the same as all the rest.
