No put a 100 round drum on if you want. I still wouldn’t put more than about 10 rounds in a mag.

Only once in my life have I needed a full 30 rounds to finish off a yote. I missed him the first 28 shots and hit it in the ass on 29. If I ever find a jihadist yote it’s going to meet the 300 win mag and get blown up.

30 round mags make you flock shoot, get a 10 round, Fulton Armory sells a good one with the orange follower or a plastic magpul

I've been awake for 30 hours now... pretty sure I heard a yote screaming lalalalala allah akbar right before first light... I did not stick around to see if he had a suicide vest on

Seen at least 12 yotes today. Unfortunately they were all to far away to shoot at. One frozen slough had 3 of them crossing it.

Not where I'd like to be
Do not use fmj rounds I believe they are illegal to hunt with plus they just pass threw with minimal damage yote runs off
They're illegal to hunt game animals with. While legal for coyotes, they are indeed a poor choice. Use a varmint bullet. For a factory round, the American Eagle 50 grain varmint-tip is hard to beat. They're dirt cheap, group well (out of my gun anyway), and kill with extreme prejudice.

Either that's a slow coyote, or you're pretty quick on the trigger.
I can only picture this in the Red River Valley where you can watch your dog run away for 4 days.

American Eagle 50gn HP is indeed a fantastically accurate and authoritative putter-downer of varmints.

I was in the Sandhills with about 600 yards of open ground. It was a full blown spray and pray.

Perhaps 1 well-placed shot would be more effective than 30 hope and pray types of trigger pulling. However, I do think firing 30 times at a fast running coyote would have a certain amount of fun involved.

I use 20 rounders for the most part. 30 round mags are too long if you need to shoot prone a lot of times. They all will work though.
