There have been seven mountain lions harvested so far in North Dakota.
The North Dakota Game and Fish Department says six have been taken in zone 1 in the early season. The limit there is eight. One has been taken in zone 2, which has no limit.
Of the seven, five are female. Stephanie Tucker with the Game and Fish Department says at this time last year, there were just three taken.
Tucker says three of the seven have been taken using predator calls which is rare.
The early season runs through Nov. 26, after that, hounds may be used to hunt the cats.
