24 years.
It went through some real crappy drought years and somehow made it. Amazing

Did he say 20'' and 4.5 pounds ? It sounded like he said 28 first then corrected to 20. It must have been skinny as a rail.

Glad they got that fish out of the system. It's contributing small fish to the gene pool. I would have expected a much larger fish for that age.

He checked the age of 600 walleyes by removing their ear bones. Does that mean there are 600 deaf walleyes swimming in Lake Sakakawea?

Stick your head in the water, and from all sides, you hear these tiny cries of "what? What? WHAT?"..

Means there are 600 fewer fish in the lake

Our G&F needs to get out of the stone ages. When are they going to get serious, get some choppers/airplanes in the air, and do some real walleye population surveys?

And we need to send a paper survey to EVERY fishermen to have an accurate accounting of "year classes" caught.

That is how they do it on Erie. You can see schools of walleye migrating
