Fiberglass - stratos 386 xf . 18.5' with 150 4 stroke be mid to upper 30s . Aluminum - trackers are about 30 for 18.5' with 150 four stroke . Alumacraft trophy is my preference and they are low 30s for new 185 with 150 four stroke . Add 2500 for a ulterra trolling motor and another 300 fprbthe mk 330 on board charger and another 1500 for a couple of nice helix graphs . Hummingbird helix 9 or 7s

I don’t think they make stratos anymore. $50k will get you into a lot of lightly used boats with graphs and accessories already installed. Plus no tax.

Lincoln, kinda...
I think you can get into a new Lund Crossover, or Impact pretty well equipped for that price tag.

They would probably be my favorites in an aluminum. After that there's the Alumacraft Trophy and some stuff offered by Crestliner, but I'm a Lund guy, for better or worse.

1850 reata. Yep I'm a little bias but after some negotiations you should get below that number and have a great family and fishing boat

You guys he said FISHING boat....a steering wheel doesn’t fall under that category. Next spring I’ll more than likely be picking up a Alumacraft Competitor 205. I think they are althe cats meow!

Buy a top end used 20-21 ft fiberglass.
Find a good deal and you'll lose very little money on it even after 10-15 years.

But if you have to have a new 50K boat you can get into allot of nice 18 foot glass models by lund, ranger and skeeter.

I walked into my search with $30k as my self-administered limit. Then it was 35,40, and 45k. At 50, there’s lots of boats out there with few hours and warranties still on the motors.

if i had 50k it would be hard to turn down a big tiller of some sort. 2075 pro guide, 205 competitor, 2090, etc.

i would get that new nitro (same company that builds rangers :;:stirthepot)-- put a 200 on the back -- these new mercs without the blowers on em -- they should be cheaper -- even with the verado -- i would then do the electronics and the kicker (tiller) myself and stay under 50. Hold over -- i cant stress that word enough. Dont look and buy now -- look in the fall. Look at an area of the country that is hurting. The economy isnt booming all over. South -- another word i cant stress enough.

new is another word that one cant stress enough --- with the warrantys now days --- why not --- these are race engines and they very very expensive much more expensive then the engine that does 200k in your truck --- who knows how the guy before you treated it - (ethanol ick) -- one little visit to the repair shop would pay for the extra sales tax.

unless if your eyexr -- and can rip apart an engine in late spring and be back on the water right away.

For a couple grand more, upgrade to the 200 hp.

Would be my vote.

some of those stratos are still in the showrooms -- "hold overs" -- then they are gone. I dont know -- what is the warranty. With that said though - imo very little goes wrong with the boat - if you take care of them. The stuff that does go -- is all after warranty and all of it is available on the market (pedestals, locks etc)
