Now that bow fishing is open year round in ND has anyone tried shootin carp through the ice? Figured a guy could do it just fine in a darkhouse spearing set up. Have thought of trying it, anyone on here done it?

Not sure if this would work for bow hunting but when I was a kid my dad would go out to cats dam (upstream from painted woods bridge on 83 S of Washburn ) and chop a hole in the ice. The carp would come to the top and he would use his landing net to scoop them out. He would pick out the smaller ones and smoke a few of them. I never cared for them as they were a little greasy for my taste.

The Cisco’s in Sak have been chasing smelt right under the ice. Makes for some fun sight fishing but no reason a guy couldn’t fling arrows too.
