Been on stand down as a non essential employee since April, watching some great western, matter of fact give GUNSMOKE the nod, never did watch it as a youngster, tonight Clint Eastwood in high plains drifter still a classic after 100's of times watching it,Clint was the best cowboy imo, today we don't have these classics, sad

Agreed no protests/ riots when Dillion kills a bad guy

Also some of audey Murphy westerns are pretty good but gotta pay attention to the dry humor and one liners

Many more good westerns but all from the 1960's nothing today comes close to Eastwood's classics

another classic is Shane

Today a black lesbian would be the western hero. Everything out of Hollyweird has to have a social message. Sick puppies. I about puke every time I see Alan Alda or anything with him in it like MASH.

The Range is one of those movies I can watch over and over again, I have to admit that just like there is that 1 percent that has never seen a single show of Game of Thrones or Harry Potter, I have never seen one episode of Gunsmoke.

Outlaw Josey Wales is my favorite underrated Clint Eastwood movie also like watching Jeremiah as well

Open Range
Bone Tomahawk
True Grit (newer one)
Appaloosa
The Missing
Wind River (Not an old fashion western but I still consider it a western of sorts)
Godless (Netflix mini series. Amazingly good, highly recommend!)
Deadwood
Hell on Wheels

I could go on. Lots of really good newer western shows imo.

I’m really shocked cancel culture hasn’t come for MASH. There’s a lot of stuff in there no where close to ok by the left’s standards of today

Anyone recall the Last Outlaw? It's my favorite. Lot's of known actors in it that I never thought would be in a western.

Jeremiah Johnson was a good show before Robert Redford went "Green".
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid too.

The Deadwood series and follow up movie are great. The newer 3:10 to Yuma is good (I admit I haven’t seen the original). Maybe not a “western” but a movie that I can watch over and over is Hell or High Water. Essentially a western in present day.
