Folks,

If you are a night hunter in North Dakota, you need to be aware of a significant legislative change headed our way. PM as soon as possible and I will get the information to you.

Do not delay, Rick

They make 6V million candlepower spotlights now. What’s the 6V limit supposed to accomplish?

And the legislature also shot down a bill for increasing fees for hunting violations.

Which is dumb. I have a 5V spotlight that is awesome.

LED lights have made voltage damn near irrelevant.

I agree. The regulation should be in lumens. Maybe that's difficult to measure in the field whereas volt isn't?

Senate Bill 2211 is still alive other than they amended it to not allow night hunting during the deer rifle season which is still stupid but it would expand the opportunity to any fur bearer or nongame animal for which there is an open firearms season. That came out of Senate Natural Resources for unanimous Do Pass.
