A big pretty effer.

I've been trying for a half hour to post a pic of the boy with a nice smallmouth. I'm about to bust this effing device to pieces.

I want one north of 20" from ND waters. one of these years I'm actually gonna make it to Mille lacs to chase some trophy smallies. I talk about it every year but never works out.

I'm not sure but 3lbs for a whooper seems a bit puny. IMO this is a bit outdated and needs to be revised. A 4lber I could see being a whopper.

Come on down to Oahe been killing the big smallies this year around Mobridge. Biggest was 21 so far this guy was a little over 19 but hard taking pics by yourself he would not stop flopping like a fish out of.water.

23 inch or bigger for me. That french guy a couple years ago on "That other site" nabbed a 23 incher out of the Sheyenne. He had NO IDEA what a trophy that was. What a PIG!!! He released her though, so there's hope yet for this river rat.

A big smallie is one fish I need for the wall. I would say anything over 22 in ND is a great one.

Caught a 20.5 and a couple other 20 in ND. Just not big enough for me to kill. Rather release unless I get one 22 or longer, that's going home with me.:D

I lived in northeast New York for 2 1/2 years, in the Chazy River by Champlain I caught 5 smallies over 20 inches, two of which were 24 inches. Just used a cricket hook with a crawler on it and a small split shot. Found big rocks and put the bait on top of the rock so it fell behind it. Never thought about having them mounted as they were so easy to catch.

My father in law has done the guided trips for Mille Lacs smallies. The fish are ridiculous.

The fish in Audobon could be also ridiculous. Too much C&R IMHO. If nothing else, keep a few 10-12in to fertilize stuff.

My gut tells me Sak has some monsters lurking in its depths. The people and techniques to catch them have not yet been applied. I have a feeling Sak is a sleeping giant with all the bait in that lake right now. For all species.

I would think there have to be some 6# plus smallies in Sak. Would also think now would be an excellent time to target them....
