Does anyone else think fanduel is getting harder to win than it has been in the past? I mostly play $2 and $5 50/50s or double ups. Last year went really well and i won 8 out of 10 contests i entered. This year i seemed to only win alittle over 50% of the contests i have entered. I really dont think the cheating scandal is a factor because what those guys were doing is only able to do in the huge tournaments which i don't play. The way it went last year i was thinking that this might be a way to make some money. Im really not into it for alot yet probably stuck $45 in and made about $60. I'm wondering what some of you other guys are noticing. Maybe the competition is just getting better I just don't know. Anyway last week i entered 5 really good lineups and lost all 5. Thinking this is someones way of telling me to pull the plug and move on.

it is fairly tough to win on lately, i usually do a $25 entry into the 5 million one every week and usually a $5 one. Im not really into the double ups i guess, just my personal preference. Had a few good days last year, the week flacco threw 5 tds made me $1K that sunday. This year is a struggle to make even $50-100. If you want to increase your chances of winning and dont want the double ups you should try doing a heads up one.

Heads up are where the money is, I throw in 3 bucks a week into draft kings for the chance at 100k usually win less than 10 bucks back though even when I do good, I wish I would have started these sites though they got to be making money hand over fist. Basically a lottery ticket unless you do heads up. Also their match your deposit deals are a rip off, you need to play a shit pile to get any of your cash.

Yes the competition is getting harder. What is happening is people are grinding these like poker sites. Many many, former and current online poker pros have moved to this because of our limited options for online poker nowadays and also because they transition well into the environment. If you have a considerable amount of coin on any fantasy sports site I would probably pull a big chunk out. Starsdraft (created by Pokerstars just pulled out yesterday of all but like 3 states. Money is safe though. Don't worry about Bovada, your cash is safe there I know people that move tens of thousands around all the time. If you want to play poker online today you need to play at Bovada. Softest site that is around right now with super fast cashouts. If you want to play poker or just run some sports bets sign up here https://www.bovada.lv/welcome/PA2C65F/join/?extcmpid=rafcopy

Read up on fantasy sports here http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/search.php?searchid=51142418
Also a good site for poker and all kinds of stuff from business to politics.

Does anyone know the legal aspect of online sports books. I could care less about fantasy but would love to move on some football games but don't know the laws around it.

I don't see much of a difference between the two.

I only play draftkings but in my opinion the competition is getting better. I have a good friend that has made a lot of money (think mid 6 figures) on fanduel in the last 8 months alone and will be having a chance at another big pay day at the WFFC later this winter. What he tells me is that there are a lot of "pros" that spend anywhere from 60-100 hours a week planning and combing through stats to get solid lineups and then they play anywhere from a few hundred to several thousand games a week. Many of these players are also getting paid by the host sites by earning commissions off of players that they recruit. And many of those recruits are also getting good advice from these "pros". I believe it has gone from mostly weekend warrior sports guys playing to mainly professionals. Now that being said there are obviously still chances for us normal guys to win some money if we can get some luck on our side.

Sounds like a Ponzi scheme. What happens when the rate of new subscribers decreases, or the "weekend warriors" get tired of being hassled and leave? Second, where are they getting the millions for the prize pools, plus paying for all the ad time on radio, tv and product placement? I'm thinking the recent scandal is a little more than just a couple employees participating, more like thousands of bots.

No there's just that many people that play. Lots of people load up a few bucks and splash around. Of course, we can't rule out bots, they do exist in online poker but as far as I know nobody has created one for fantasy sports yet. The sites wouldn't do it, they have nothing to gain and it would only destroy their name if caught.

If you stick with Bovada you will be fine. Most trust worthy and have been around forever. Quickest cashouts too.

There are actually more people playing fantasy sports than there are people playing golf in this country. Its not to surprising that they are that popular.

The sites pay out roughly 80% of the money entered into games and keeps 20% to themselves. That may not sound like a lot but say they only pay out $10M per week, they would pocket $2.5M in that week alone.

Ive been playing on fanduel and draftkings for 3 years now, and yeah it seems overtime people have been getting better. I usually play mostly 50/50s and a couple leagues with friends and throw a few bucks into some tournaments every now and then and have been doing ok this year. Seems like the magic number to cash in 50/50s is about 125pts. As far as online sports betting i am pretty sure there is a law in ND against betting on online sportsbook. Thats what i was told a couple years ago anyways when i was talking to a few people that work for the state when i was trying to get my money out of a site i had bet on.

Only if you're the operator. Same with online poker. Online poker is not actually illegal to play, people just don't know.
