Does anyone use a Fitbit® ??? just thinking of possible X-mas gifts or wants...

if so what are the pros or cons...what model or type to get...I have failed in my interweb research on this and am asking the nodak-angler community to pick up my slack

I don't know to much about them, but my wife had one for a short period and then wanted to upgrade to a GPS watch for running.

My wife has one. No idea what model it would be but its not the watch type. She likes it. She has broken/lost two of them and both times they sent her a new one no questions asked. We have a wellness month each year at work and one of the "prizes" you can get when you earn points for different wellness activities is the fitbit charge hr. I am contemplating getting one.

I believe the fitbit surge has gps as well.

Is fitbit some form of heart rate monitoring contraption?

When you move in reverse it changes your perception, which can effect equilibrium. Riding up on the elevator seems harmless, when I journey down is when I feel nauseous. Would this heart rate monitor even out the ringing in my ears.

I use a fitbit charge HR. It tells me everything, steps, miles walked, flights of stairs climbed, calories burned, heart rate. It is kind of interesting to see exactly how much u walk in a day... a half busy day for me at work usually entails 15k to 20k steps which works out to about 6.5 - 8.5 miles a day...

I would like to see a govt study to determine if daily walking distance is adversely or positively affected if you own a hamster.

my samsung s6 has a health app that counts steps, and will even read heart rate by placing finger over camera???

now if it would only renew my blood pressure script...

Possibly enough to buy me a new glass boat. This thread made a lightbulb go off. Killer domain name related to the fitbit was available. Will be doing a review site on the fitbit. I'm a part time internet nerd/wizard.
