Are drill assemblies interchangeable?

Unless it is an Eskimo bit from the 70's it won't work. Jiffy powerheads turn counter-clockwise and any recent Eskimo stuff requires clockwise rotation.

Maybe I am making this more complicated than I need to and I should just buy a whole new auger and give back the one I am borrowing. Are the Eskimo propane augers any good?

From what I've heard overall about the propane augers the past couple years I would go gas or just join the revolution and go electric.

Funny video. I see two things wrong, first is the DeWalt, second is the drill needs to be set on the lowest speed.
