AIM™ Expands Weekend Walleye Series to North Dakota

Anglers Insight Marketing LLC (AIM™) is pleased to announce an expansion of the popular AIM WeekendWalleye Series (AWWS) to include a new North Dakota Division in 2016.

AIM™ has been holding high profile walleye tournaments across the country since 2009. The Weekend Walleye Series events feature exciting team-style competition with low entry fees, lucrative payouts, and fair competition for all contestants.

“We are excited to bring the fisherman of North Dakota an opportunity to become involved in a grassroots tournament circuit again,” says AIM Board Member and native North Dakotan Jim Carroll. “It’s been quite a few years since we’ve had a walleye tournament circuit in our state and we have a great group of competitive anglers up here.”

All AIM events showcase AIM’s revolutionary Catch-Record-Release™ (CRR) tournament format where anglers measure, photograph, and immediately release all walleyes caught. Since no fish are kept, there is minimal impact to fish resources. This unique and exciting tournament format allows AIM™ to hold highly competitive events on waters with restrictive slots or other regulations that make these waters less attractive to tournament anglers.

AWWS National Tournament Director Denny Fox added,“The Weekend Series events have proven to be great fun for anglers. With tournaments held mostly on Sunday’s, they’re custom built for anglers who have that competitive urge and enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of tournament fishing.”

In 2016, AWWS anglers will compete in several states including Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. Event details and schedules are being finalized and more information will soon be available at www.aimfishing.com

Anglers Insight Marketing LLC (AIM™) is a unique tournament organization created and owned by many of the most accomplished and recognizable professional walleye anglers, along with others who share the mission of advancing competitive walleye fishing and making it sustainable into the future. AIM is committed to marketing excellence on behalfof its tournament competitors, the tournament host communities, and the brands that partner with it. AIM is also committed to maintaining healthy fisheries across the nation by the development of the exclusive AIM Catch-Record-Release™ format which is integral to its dynamic eventsand unparalleled consumer engagement. I wonder if this will be every weekend? Once a month? Summer only? Include an ice fishing season? Very neat. I hope it catches on.

Tournaments on Sundays should be a big plus for guys that like to compete but don't have a lot of vacation to burn. Leave Friday, prefish Saturday, tourney on Sunday.

Two weekends a month would be cool. This is very interesting.

I have been watching this in other states for the last couple years and they usually do 3 events on different bodies of water during the summer. They give out some great prizes and are backed very well by the sponsors listed in the press release. I would really like to participate, but we will see how it works with an already full tourney schedule.

Can't wait to fish this series, it is by far the best format for fisherman since there are no decisions to make on whether or not to keep a fish, so it will eliminate any culling issues. It is also the best format for the fish since they are released immediately and are not kept in a livewell all day!

I'm guessing there will be 3-4 tournaments with maybe the 4th being a championship.

Neat! Not to hijack the thread but I ran across this site the other day and thought I would pass it along to anyone interested in doing the ice fishing tournament thing. It wouldn't be my cup of tea but thought I would pass it on in case someone out there on this site might be. www.icefishingtournamentguide.com.
