Holes or humps

When targeting walleyes, would you rather fish a 15 foot hole in the middle of a big 10 foot flat or a 10 foot hump in the middle of a 15 foot flat?

Depends on what the wife will let me do. Most of the time I would fish the hump in the mornings and evenings and the hole during the day.

There is usually no bad time to check out the humps. The holes might depend on moon phase or any kind of algae bloom that might be going on. I usually stay away from the flats, since l like me some humps.

That is the way I would approach it as well.

I'm also pretty fond of the holes during the day and the humps in morning/evening. However, depending on the time of the month, I may have to settle exclusively for the humps. For some reason my wife doesnt like me venturing too far off the beaten path in search of murkier waters (probably better fishing there too). I guess she just will never understand a man's passion for fishing...
