Anyone fishing the White Earth or the Felps area?

The lake to the west of those areas has good ice but pretty slow fishing.

I too heard of a better bite south of New Town, but that was a week ago. Look forward to getting something for next year to be more mobile than I am on my size 14s.

I've heard the same. Was thinking of heading that way this morning, but slippery roads.

If anyone was wondering if the guard camp by Lewis and Clark state park was any good I would say there is no fish in 20' of water. Two days with two flags might have to move the house tomorrow.

The guys who have moved over to Phelps haven't been calling me to see if I have been doing any good over by Tobacco Garden so I assume the are getting some action. I caught one 3lb sauger in 35' off the beacon 2 Friday's ago. Won't be out again until Thursday or Friday this week. Probably searching the same area. 95% of my fish have been on a minnow on a slick jig or perch eye jig under a float. Rest on buck shots. Even with all the smelt, all the fish have had mostly fatheads in their stomachs.
