My better half has a class all day Sunday, so seeing as it's going to be rather mild and there remains plenty of ice on the lakes, I'm taking the Squirt out for his fourth ice fishing foray of the season. Plan on leaving late morning, hitting a lake somewhere around Fergus Falls/Detroit Lakes, stopping for lunch, driving a bit and maybe parking so he (well, we) can nap, then going to another lake in the afternoon.
On the menu: Anything that bites, although he's specifically requested crappies (which he's never even seen and I, quite frankly, have no idea where to go) and walleyes!
So if you're in the area Sunday and want to meet up to swap stories or just watch a 2-year-old play with minnows, let me know! Would be fun to put some faces to names and just enjoy an unseasonably nice day on the ice.
