If you are send me a message and I'll give you the details. I'm a bow hunter but it wouldn't matter to me what you take.
Hunts in Sask.
This area hasn't had an outfitter hunting it since 2002.
They put out 4 baits last year with cameras on them "no hunters" and some giants showed up in different colors!
Theyll have 20 baits out this year and we'd have the first hunt of the year starting may 9th. We could have up to 6 in camp but 4 would secure the camp for us. I think another friend might go so looking for a couple more guys if your interested in going after booner size bears!
Just need guys that would be fun in camp, so no knuckle heads! :;:sorry

do you eat deer, or pheasant?

Yes, but not coyote, or skunk, but I shoot them too.

I also don't eat anus, but I know some people find that a delicacy....haha

Did I ever tell you guys about my days at elephant park?

I would feel manly if I had a bear sandwich in my lunch box.

"Hey Cpt. Ahab, what you got turkey or ham?" Me: "I got bear, a big gd bear sandwich." "What's it to ya?"

Ha good one mr. ahab

In a little less sarcastic response, we have kept the loins out of a couple bears that we found right away and it was pretty good in stew and chili. For some reason never did try it just as a steak on a grill.

Never have gotten past the ticks when skinning a bear...........I hate ticks.

Their pecker bones do make good swizzle sticks for an unsuspecting friends wifes drink though..........

I had my first bear cut up into everything.....steaks, chops, burger. The guides told me it can be the best or the worst you've ever had depending on how quick you get it cooled down. Mine was skinned and in the freezer within an hour and a half. I thought it was great.
My favorite was to take bite size pieces, soak it in McCormicks SW marinade, then roast over the fire on a marshmallow stick. Can honestly say didn't have anybody say they didn't like it. Course it was always around the campfire after many drinks...........

I've had bear brats and jerky and both were very delicious in my opinion (especially the brats)

When I am old and fat I will be a bear hunting machine. Slay walleyes in the morning and bears in the evening.

For now I will spend my youth, money and vacation time on hunts I won't be able to do when I'm old and gray.

Fresh bear sausage is wonderful. I went last year, and my vacation time for this year is spoken for, or I would be all over this.

The two I've taken weren't. One was a fall bear in MN and the crock-potted roasts made THE BEST brown gravy ever. Meat was flavorful, tender, and just fell apart. The backstraps were fantastic quickly browned and then simmered to med-rare with a little JD or SoCo in the cast iron. The 2nd was a spring bear from MT, all went into sausage, and tasted exactly like the elk sausage I'd had made 6mo earlier.
