I am having some trouble with my trolling motor and Lowrance Elite 5 HDI. I have the transducer mounted on a Minnkota Powerdrive 55lb with a aftermarket bracket adapter. It seems that I am having interference problems and just cant get the sonar dialed in very well compared to the same unit I have at the console. Would the problem be that I have the Lowrance and trolling motor wired directly to the same battery or would it be that the transducer is too close to the motor prop? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is most likely because they are on the same battery.

Power source more likely than transducer/prop.

What they said. But I won't be surprised if switching power source doesn't work. My uncle has this issue even tho the trolling motor and graph are on different batteries. I guess some minnkota's can throw off some interference.
