Happiness used to mean something a lot different in my Navy days. In SE asia the cab drivers would take us home from the bars and point to various "Women" on the street and say "Hap piness" "Hap piness"!!!! To which we would raise our beers, laugh, and keep drinking.

Ha, I figured there would be a few that would get it. Hawaii is pretty bad too, lots of creatures down on Kalakaua in the evenings. On a Westpac I had a few of my dipshits come back to the boat with stories of "encounters" with said creatures. Poor guys took shit about it until they got out or did a PCS.

HaHaHa!! Yep!! Had a few ignorants of my own decide they knew better than us "Grandpas" as well. Mr. Webster still hasn't come up with a word to describe the look on a young troopers face when they look at you for the first time AFTER they've learned first hand what you warned them about not 12 hours earlier.

It took 3 posts for this thread to go from boats and beer to transvestites.

Guy in my squadron was not ashamed to tell us of his encounter. Said that was the best mouth he's ever run in to. To say he was a little off would be an understatement. There's a reason why he was still in the line shack as an undesignated airman after 5 years of service.

But yes, a beer in or near a boat, is the best part of my year.

Yep, bring on the boats and beer!

Mine is getting a makeover this weekend for the coming spring. I'm hoping to be on the river in a few weeks.
