I guess if I were going to neck up a .223 round to get it to 87gr, I'd just neck it to .243 projectile. Damn, I wonder if that's a thing? Is there already a frankenround that is .223 necked to 243? Now I want one in an AR.

This might be a good option for me... Rebuild my upper into something useful. 24" bull barrel with no fluting is garbage if you want to carry it farther than 20 yards

Does anybody here have any actual experience with the 6mm-223. After looking at some load data i could push a 60 grain 6mm bullet at the same speed i get out of my current 223 loads. Looks like it could be a very good caliber for varmints or maybe even deer of speed goats if i ever decide to hunt them with a heavier bullet of course

Also what does it take to make the 6mm-223 brass out of 223 Remington brass. Not new to reloading just haven't ever had to make my own brass from that of another caliber

Not where I'd like to be
Dammit Slim, seems like you're always giving me ideas that require spending money.

I was also not aware that 6mm-223 was a thing. My love for 6mm projectiles and ARs may have already sealed the deal on this.

No actual experience, but several reviews here make it sound like all you do is run it through a sizing die.

Way easier than making 300blk brass.

That damn thing sure whacks with surprising authority at 500 relative to velocity. I want one.

I believe the ports would cool and maintain cleanliness/function.
