I am looking for one unit to function as a fish finder for my inflatable raft and also as a unit for ice fishing. Several notes/questions first:
- I have 5 children, so the less it costs the better, preferably under $300, with GPS if possible
- I do not ice fish when it is 20 below zero because I have no ice house, so I am not too worried about the LCD slowing down or dimming in cold weather, but I would need it to work at zero degrees
- Would down scan imaging be useful for ice fishing, or is it better to use the graph?
Clearly I don't have much experience in this area, so any suggestions would be helpful. I would prefer not to have two separate units, but maybe it would be easier to have a flasher and a small fish finder for the raft.
Thanks in advance.
