"My" Scotch racist eggs were made with Jimmy Dean and Stove Top Stuffing then finished in the oven. Effing A good. Got the recipe from "Sports Afield" when it first went to shi'ite.

Back in the days of the Final Five in St. Paul we stayed at the Embassy Suites. The little Irish bar there had the best Scotch Eggs I've ever had. Lived on beer and Scotch eggs for 3 days every year there. Rhombus Brewery here in Grand Forks has some pretty dang good ones too.

Went to the Boiler Room in Fargo for lunch this week and the waitress tried to push some Scotch Eggs on us. She said they were really good. I will have to give them a try some time. I did not try them that day as I didn't even know what they were.

I recently was told to monitor my salt intake. Does anybody know where these Scotch Eggs lie on the salt spectrum?

Well, softish boiled egg, wrapped in a combo coating of breakfast sausage and breadcrumbs then baked...or fried. I imagine the salt content is decent?...

Ha ha ha. I'm kidding. Those are tasty brine packets from hell for high blood pressure peoples.

I think "my recipe" would be superior to the above vid. Too "hammy" and believe it would be dry.

svnmag I finally found time to watch that video. Thanks. I have to try that. Unlike some of the guys here I had never heard of Scotch Eggs. On a cruse to Alaska I tried some Scotch Eggs Benedict. At least that's what I think they called it. The think cut salmon jerky on top looked really good. Well, turns out it wasn't jerky it was raw salmon. Thought I was poisoned the first time. Three days later I had two helpings.
