ND Guys in Pro Sports

I'd like to compile a list so I can follow locals and our former collegiate athletes. Need some help as I haven't followed sports that closely up to this point. Football, hockey, baseball, golf, men, women, etc. If ND people make waves in national sports, post names and news here.

Few off the top of my head:

Carson Wentz, Philly Eagles QB
CJ Smith, Eagles practice squad
Andrew Bonnet, Eagles practice squad
Joe Haeg, Indy Colts
Kyle Emanuel, San Diego Chargers
Marcus Williams, NY Jets

Amy Anderson, LPGA

If you're looking for current pro athletes. The only one i can think of, that wasn't in your list, is UFC fighter Ronda Rousey. Was born in CA, but grew up in Jamestown.

Other retired Pros include Phil Jackson, Jim Kleinsasser, Travis Hafner, and probably most famous of all Roger Maris.

Darin Erstad (sp?). World champion and now head coach of Nebraska. Jamestown native. His brother was good too but I don't think he was able to break into the show.

There's actually quite a few major leaguers from ND but there were a lot from the old days. Rick Helling was the other guy I was trying to think of. One our our own NDA member's brothers was drafted by the twins out of mizzou by way of center/mandan

Mike Peluso, the Bismarck coach and native played in NHL, some Unknown grand forks kid played for the gophers (ack phhtt!) and then went pro, I don't have time but I believe his picture is up in the Holy Cross rink (snicker, snicker)

A few names to add to this list since it's not up to date. Rocco Grimaldi, Jordan Schmaltz, Drake Caggiula, Luke Johnson, Paul Ladue, Troy Stecher, Nick Schmaltz. Probably a few more I'm forgetting and will be more next year as well. A lot of captains on that list too. Weston Dressler in the CFL. Isn't Brock Jensen playing somewhere in the CFL or arena league?
