The girls are putting down some serious deer on our hunting ground so far this fall, and it is awesome to see! First off my sister put down her first ever buck with her youth tag, buck came out south of us in the rain last weekend and jumped back in the trees for another 30 minutes when he came out he was out in the field for another 30 minutes before he would give us a good shot through the other deer and a perfect broad side shot, once that came she put the cross hairs on him and put a bullet through the shoulder and his heart at 120 yards and he ran 20 yards and piled up dead!
next up to bat was another youth hunter and her first ever deer, deer came out in front of her at about 30 yards initially and she finally got a shot at about 75 yards, she had to wait for quite a while before she would shoot a deer with the sun in her scope and she was unable to see, but once again another great shot and another deer that is down!
And the last one was just last night beautiful Mrs. Arrowdem did just that, her first ever deer was killed last night from her hoyt! i couldnt be more proud of her to keep her cool and deliver a fatal blow to that big mature doe! doe ran about 150 yards and she piled up stoned dead!
All and all this has been an amazing experience, i was there for my sisters and my wifes kill and was able to get a hunter who doesnt have their own land some land to get in on, i had set up a ground blind in an area of the field that had very heavy wheat ground regrowth with a lot of deer sign, and we ended up going 3 for 3 out of that blind for sits with the girls!
Way to go ladies now the guys need to try to keep up!
