Great morning in the lake region. Could use a bit more wind, a few more clouds, some more mosquito spray and a few less duck boats from out east. But, the ducks are working and I ain't complaining.

We came back from Walker, Minn late last night. The parade on I94 was still going strong. Surprised to see them coming so late. Hope they have a good hunt, but I couldn't help but think the zebra mussel has a lot more duck boats to ride on than fishing boats. Hope they clean them good.

Ya. Just busting their ballz a bit. But, it sure seemed like more than usual. Ended up with a mixed bag limit for 3 guys. 6 hens, 1 woody, 1 blue bill, 3 gad walls and 7 drakes. Color is getting better.

Took the kids out pheasant hunting this morning, boy got 2 roosters. Now we're in the decoys with 4 mallards. If i wouldnt have had to carry one kid a mile back to the truck this morning i may have fished today too. Needed a nap instead. I love fall.
