The Bottineau Lumberjacks is a 2 year Jr college in williston tonight to kick some ass against a 4 year college

- - - Updated - - -

3-1 Bottineau lead, they have a heck of a good team this year , I'd bet a beer that Williston will get tired of getting beat to the puck and getting robbed of plays and frustration will turn this hockey game into a boxing match in the 3rd period.

Bottineau leads 5-2 after two, Frustration is setting in , You can see it. this could get ugly in the 3rd .

I hope this kid is in jail , The sore loser came out of the penalty box and leveled the ref with just a few seconds left in the game , Ref didn't see it coming and didn't wiggle for about 5 minutes . Pretty sure he will have headaches for a while. Sports Illustrated posted a vid of it on their website .

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- An Erie Community College hockey player faces charges after assaulting a referee during the NJCAA championship game Sunday in Binghamton.A video from Sports Illustrated shows a player exiting the penalty box at the end of ECC's game against Dakota College at Bottineau and tacking the referee. A box score from the game said freshman Brandon Day received a match penalty in the game's final minute for abuse of officials, and the game was called with Dakota winning 7-4.SUNY Broome Police confirmed they have a player in custody from the game and charges are imminent. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz wrote on Twitter that ECC President Jack Quinn told him the player has been charged with assault and faces disciplinary action by the college. The NJCAA said it's reviewing the matter."The NJCAA national office has been made aware of the incident that occurred during its hockey championship game and will take all necessary steps to gather as much information from tournament officials and local authorities regarding violations to the association’s sportsmanship code. This type of behavior will not be tolerated in the NJCAA," said Mark Krug, the NJCAA assistant executive director.ECC has not immediately returned a request for comment.Day went to West Seneca East High School.
