Well turned out to be bone cancer. He wouldn't move or eat so had to make that tough decision. I know he is chasing pheasants and watching for geese up in heaven.

Sorry to hear Kurt, us dog people know how much it hurts when one of our pups gets sick! Mines 10 now and I hope for more years to come.

Good thing is I still have cedar who is 7 and still going strong. He is really wondering where his buddy is. We are going out to chase some pheasants later this week. The boy doesn't know yet but he is getting a shotgun for Christmas. So we will go have a memorial hunt
