Have an older 870 20 gauge that I inherited and haven't used in a few years. Dumb on my part but it developed some rust on the barrel. Is there anyone in the Bisman area that does rebluing?

take some navel jelly and go after the whole barrel. it'll remove the rust and take down to bare metal. then buy some Brownell's Oxpho Blue. I've done a few guns with it and it turns out damn near as good as factory bluing. I usually take it to my guns when I put them away at end of season, hitting any scratches, etc.

Zoops if you plan on keeping it as a collector item you don't want to do re-blue it. if not Blue on.

000 steel wool saturated with hopes no. 9 and scrub away. has saved a few old guns for me. if terribly bad then have a gunsmith rescue it. I had my first shotgun redone, ithica model 37, and never looked back.
