can;t say in 13 years of running trail cams i've ever seen bucks having this much growth this early in the season.
there are about 12-13 bucks (and many does) HAMMERING the mineral sites.
these 2 and 3 others have a great start.

I've been seeing it this way as well. Enslow it's never to early for deer mode can catch walleye all year.

Likely due to the lack of stress and ability to find food this winter. Easy winter = healthier deer = faster antler growth.

Thats good to see. They've had perfect conditions this winter and spring. I'm behind the 8 ball and never got any minerals out this year or haven't done a single thing yet. Looks like more trips to the badlands instead of sitting in a tree this year for me.

Should be a banner year for horn growth following a good winter and decent moisture.

yes they are. i think from past history they are both 6.5 year old bucks. the 4x4 we've been passing up for 3 years now hoping he makes it.
the other buck is a cagey bugger and i had a 20 yards shot at him last year but not a good quiality shot so i passed.

this was him last year.

Wow, nice deer! I think I would have a hard time watching them grow for so many years and then killing them. It would be bitter sweet to say the least.
