Governors Cup - 2017

Looks like the tournament has filled as of 1/21/17. I'm guessing that has to be a record. You could have your entry post marked 1/16/17. No list of participants yet, but according to their facebook page they are working on it and will have it out shortly. I am hoping to be on that list. Mailed mine on the 16th so fingers crossed they didn't receive more applicants post marked on the 16th than their are slots available.

Should be a good year with the added prize money!

I was thinking of doing the casino tourney, but after that debacle last year, not a chance in hell will I ever fish that event until it's under new management!

If for some reason we missed the cut at the Gov cup, that would be my next choice. When are apps available/due for that one?

I have no clue. I'm still waiting to see if I'm fishing the AIM or being an alternate again.

I like the idea. Would take some scrounging around. Would be nice if all tournaments knew to post them here.

I didn't get in the nd gov cup but I'll be fishing mt gov cup again it's a very well ran tourney I've fished it the last 3 yrs great times peck definitely has some monsters in it

Time on the water is your friend. Your statement is exactly why you should fish tournaments. You will be forced to learn different ways to catch them eyes. I no longer fish tournaments, however I learned a lot when I did. Trust Me, I had some really bad tournament days. I kept on fishing them, and finally placed in a few. Good luck and don't give up.

I don't think anyone should have their app postmarked the 16th since that was MLK day and the post office should be closed. Can't believe it filled that fast. We sent ours in today. Guess we are out. Too bad for us cause we were going to win it...by a lot. At least we won't have to worry about the tax burden.

I was a fill in last year. I don't think fancy feast can handle those big boats.

Check has not been cashed yet but I have heard rumors of some people getting a letter saying they did not get in. Just anxiously waiting for the field list right now.
