I remember being a little kid and thinking how cool it would be if the water was just completely clear and I could see where all the fish were. Electronics are getting to the point of making that possible. I still haven't decided at what point some of these things become a bad thing.

I was working for Scheels when the Pinpoint trolling motors and fish-finders were introduced. Depth mode, contour mode, etc, etc, etc. I can remember during the sales rep's presentation asking if the damned thing had a "Fish Chase" mode, where you'd graph a big fish and chase the summbitch til you caught it.
