Cabela's Guidewear is tough to beat. I bought a set $150 for each piece 10yrs ago and it's still great.

I'm thinking it would be interesting and probably a fun 3 days. Don't know if the cost is high or not, one of those deals where you will know the value after it's done.

My concern is I haven't made up my mind on whether i agreed with shooting game at extreme ranges. I miss by a an inch or two at 100 yds, the deer or elk is still dead. Miss by the same amount at 1000 yds the animal is most likely wounded. Would be fun at targets, game I'm not sure. Then again maybe a class such as this would answer the question of how accurate a person could actually shoot. I would also like to be able to use my own rifle and I'm sure to be able to shoot at those ranges my .270 with a 3X9 Leupold isn't going to cut the mustard. The $850 for the class might be the cheap part of the shooting. Thinking the new gun and scope might set me back quite a bit more than the $850.

My hunting buddy took first place in law enforcement sniper competition. One guy was on secret service presidential detail for a year, and another took national two years. They were shooting Robars made in Phoenix, Arizona, and American optics scopes. Know what he beat them with? A Savage. :;:stirthepot I think I put a thousand rounds a year down range beyond 1000 yards. Show up at my house and my friend and I will try find a day to take you out for zip, nada, nothing.
