Went out prairie dog shooting this past weekend and found my AR isn't cycling properly, and also the BCG isn't seating fully into the chamber. Could this be a lubrication issue? Or am I looking to have to replace some parts?:confused::confused:

could be a gas issue (over gassed or under gasses) or buffer spring. Has it ran fine before during high volume shooting?

In assuming this is a old gun and has been shot and worked properly before?

If so I agree with 2400 clean the piss out of it and lube it up. Ar are extrmely reliable but if your like me you can out a few hundred rounds threw them pretty quick. Not realizing maintenance may be past due.

it has performed beautifully in the past, I never thought about the gas line itself. Fairly newer rifle, only a couple years old.

make sure your 3 gas ring gaps are offset on the bcg(bolt carrier group), and make sure your roll pins are still in for the gas block. gas tube is tight. if all them are good clean and oil it!
